Reminiscing

Its days like this
That make me think of you
There's not a cloud in the sky
Its crystal clear and blue

Everything I see it reminds me of you

The marquis sign above the corner store
Buyin’ 99 cent flip-flops from the bargain bin
and breakfast at that greasy spoon
at a quarter past noon
Blankets lyin’ out on the sand
Walking under the pier and skinny dipping too

Reminiscing of everything that we used to do
Why does my heart beat like this for you

A peace sign sticker on a new car
Your old jalopy it didn't get us too far
But that was okay
Cuz nothing I wanted was miles away

I even ran into Joe
I gave him a few bucks - yeah I know
He moved his cart to the other side of the pier
collecting cans, its been a tough year
He asked about you
and I said we were through
He sighed and he said “untrue”

Reminiscing of everything that we used to do
why does my heart beat like this for you
Reminiscing of everything that we used to do
Everybody just pales in comparison to you

I’m sittin’ around with nothing to do
listening to Dylan records and I’m thinking of you
The tattoo shop its now closed
You know I never would have gotten one anyway - oh no

Reminiscing of everything that we used to do
Why does my heart beat like this for you
Reminiscing of everything that we used to do
Everybody just pales in comparison to you

Oh I really gotta get outta here
